Lily's two front teeth!

  

Lily lost her first front tooth about 5 days before her second front tooth. I accidentally deleted the pictures off of my camera from the first event. You can imagine how sad I was since I AM THE MOMMY PAPARAZZI :)  but things happen and it's all good now. We have pics of the next big event :)

We were at Jeff and Pat's for day of swimming and bbq with the Carter family...an extended anniversary celebration with all of the family in town.  We could have fed an army with all of the food we had! It was unreal! It was a bit like Thanksgiving in July!  Anyway, Lily's tooth was pretty wiggly and she decided it was time to come out. 

Back up five days....The first go round cousin Kenny was in town and he persuaded her to let him tie a string to her tooth and to the door. She was all up for it. No hesitation! He gently closed the door and out came her tooth. She didn't even flinch, didn't even know it came out until she felt her gum line with her tongue! I couldn't believe it! She couldn't believe it! It was a delayed reaction, then she went running around the house screaming with excitement! That night she sat on the side of her bed, closed her eyes, crossed her hands and asked the tooth fairy to bring her a gold coin for loosing her tooth! The next morning she found two gold coins and a two dollar bill (which she called "antique money." Very excited little girl.

Fast forward 5 days...

It's that time again. Since Kenny was still around Lily decided to give it a try agian....and it worked! There were a few tears this time but definately still more excitement. Think we will let her pull the rest out next time :)

Just look at that smile :)  A perfect first grade look :)  The tooth fairy brought 4 gold coins for the second front tooth! Pretty special!!!! Lucky girl!!!
