Taylor Swift Concert

This family could not be bigger Taylor Swift fans! We have loved and listened to her since Lily was 3! The first big radio song that Lily sang was "Picture to Burn" which was soooo funny to hear come out of her mouth....every word!!!  "I hate this stupid old pick up truck you never let me drive...." LOL !  I would cry when we listened to "Best Day," and Lily would act out "Love Story." We listened to Taylor Swift so much in fact that Cade would cry when she would come on the radio while we were driving in the car! (ha) Lily knows every word to every song on all 4 cd's!

My best friend and I took our girls to see Taylor's Fearless concert when the girls were 5. We were on the 14th row on the floor --WHAT ?? and the girls fell asleep to the 2nd song -- WHAT???  because it was hours past their bedtime!  Holy Moly...they were the best seats we would have ever gotten and they slept through the ENTIRE concert....flower petals fell on them at the end of the show! It was beautiful falling on our sleeping princesses...and they missed it ... all of the songs we had heard them sing for years!    Karen and I on the other hand enjoyed ourselves, sang all the songs and were amazed by the theatrical performances she gave !! Best Concert Ever!!! ....I loved the concert so much that I took Chris to see the same concert that year  when it came back in town!

Since Fearless, Taylor released Speak Now and RED.  Lily still puts on shows for us at the house singing and dancing to Taylor Swift songs and Cade no longer cries...he's being silly in the background and he can sing all of the songs too - LOL!  We continue to love her music and how elegant and fun she has stayed.

This year Chris' brother bought a bunch of tickets and we told him we wanted to surprise Lily with hers. The night of the concert, Lily thought we were going over to Rick's house for a graduation party later that night for our niece. Instead, Rick handed her a ticket to the RED concert! She ran through the house with the ticket showing everybody. I handed her a bag with clothes to change into and a sign with twinkle lights I made for her to take with us! She was soooooo excited!!! We ALL were soooo excited!!!!

Did I mention that the concert was at Cowboy's Stadium! WOW is all I can say!!!

When we got to our seats we saw the picture of Florida Georgia Line come on. SHUT THE FRONT DOOR! We all looked at each other and started yelling! We had no idea they would be at the concert! We ALL rocked out to "Cruise" and a few other favorites! Lily knows every word to "Cruise" ..... SOOOOO FUN!!!!  My adrenaline was rushing just being at the concert with Lily and our family...and then Cruise... can I say ....I was in concert mode.....!!! WOO-HOO and about to be in Pre-teen mode :)

And here she is.....

Such a GREAT performance! Lily stood in the chair, held her sign up and sang every song this time :) I stood right beside her, rocked out like a teenager to Love Story, Mean, and Red, Twenty-Two and loved every minute of it! STILL THE BEST CONCERT EVER!  We love us some Taylor!!! So glad to be there with my little girl!!!

The next morning Maddi graduated! We celebrated with a big family lunch after the ceremony. Maddi was a flower girl at our wedding. She was 7 years old at the time....Lily's age right now! I can't believe how the time has flown!!!

Cade's Preschool Graduation and last day of school

Our little man graduated preschool !!! YEAH CADE !!! The ceremony was held at a local elementary school on the stage. It was so cute! They sang goodbye songs and re-inacted the book "Oh The Places You'll Go," by Dr. Seuss with props.  Then they were called one by one to get their diploma and walk across the stage.  Cade sang the songs and walked across so proud! We didn't talk much about it as we were taking a different approach since he took himself out of music class and the music program earlier this year.  We weren't quite sure how this would play out (ha) but he was excited about it and proud of himself too!   He did GAREAT (as Lily spells it) and I of course was in Proud Mommy Paparazzi mode !

Is it me or does his hat remind you of the flying nun and not a graduation cap?   Just sayin.... :)

Last day of school

A last picture with Mrs. Lillian

 and Mrs. Mary

We gave Cade's teachers these super cute platters with their last name on it! Love me some Etsy! :)

I took Lily out of school after her field day was over so she could be with Cade for part of his last day of school. He was so happy when he saw her walk in :)

They played games, had fun stations and music and then a pizza party with their classmates.

Lily got to read to Cade's class.

Cade helped show the pictures (ha)

Mother's Day

What a special day!  I am so very blessed! My family is my dream! For many years I dreamed and prayed for a wonderful man to sweep me off my feet and to someday have a family of our own.  I have an AMAZING husband and two AMAZING children! God has blessed our lives in so many ways and I am so very thankful for each day we all have together!

Cade's preschool class celebrated with Mom's and Muffins on Friday morning. It was so sweet!

The kiddos were asked questions about their moms and the teacher's filled in the answers they gave.

We are going to have to work on the "age thing, but as one of my friends reminded me...you look pretty good for being able to work out at 77 years old (ha)!

AWE...making my heart melt!!!  Sweet talker (ha).

Cade made a handprint flower tote for me! I LOVE IT!!! So special with his hands on it forever!

We celebrated Mother's Day on Sunday in Granbury with Chris' mom and family. We had a nice lunch at the Club and helped her with some projects around the house afterwards. It was a wonderful day!
