Cade turned 4 this month!!! We celebrated his big day with a scooter party! I found this cute party idea on line and started getting crafty the month before to get everything ready! It was so much fun!!!! I loved the simple vintage theme of the party!!!
made lots of signs/labels
painted letters
made a burlap wreath for the front door
Kristel, Rick, Granma Carter, and Cindy
And Mom came to the rescue and helped me set the whole party up! She was a lifesaver especially since we moved the party to the day before it was scheduled because of bad weather coming!
My sweet friends Celena and Kourtney!
Look at this mini scooter I used as a cake topper!!! LOVE IT!
Activity 1: Pin the Wheel on the Scooter
Love this pic!!!
Lily and Abigail up for a little spin! Abigail ended up winning the game! She got a cute little mini scooter, like the one on the top of the cake, as her prize!
Activity 2: Make Your Own Scooter
We used Vienna Fingers, pretzel sticks, mini oreos and royal icing to make our own scooters!
Activity 3: Decorate Your Wheels and Parade to the Park!
Let the parade begin!!!
Well, my sweet little parade turned into a race down the hill to the park! I was horrified! None of us thought the kids would all take off like that. I guess we all pictured them staying beside us as we walked. Next time there will be a little chat about street safety and we will probably have a car or biker in front to lead the parade safely to the destination. PHEW, everyone made it there in one piece though, Thank Heavens!!!
Cade and Whitney
Luke was busy comparing his and Cade's bikes. He walked off saying that his bike was faster! Sooooo funny!!!
Miss Hadley
We jumped in the back of Chris's truck with the bikes and scooters and had a little ride back up the hill to our house after a fun time at the park!
Our Sweet Little Man!
