Lily's Meet the Teacher

Lily received a postcard in the mail a few days before Meet the Teacher night at her school. She found out she got Mrs. Gonzalez for First Grade!!!! We couldn't have been happier! She is an extraordinary teacher with over 20 years in the classroom and Reading Recovery! She is super organized, structured, fun and loving. She will be great for Lily this year!!! Lily had been very anxious all summer about First Grade and told anyone who asked about school that she was going to be home schooled. I just smiled... knowing there was not a chance of that happening this year :) Haha After she met Mrs. Gonzalez, took the tour of her classroom and met her classmates she was fine and excited! She was especially excited that she had her own desk this year, own crayon box and she got to pick out her own notebook! It's going to be a GREAT year!!!

Cade's Meet the Teacher

Cade is attending preschool 4's this year at our church. It is 7 minutes from our house, we are meeting lots of Mom's and friends through the program and getting more involved in our church community lately! It has been a welcome change and has felt so right for all of us this year!

Our church is under currently under construction so the theme throughout the preschool is "Under Construction." Each of the kiddos were given a construction hat with their name on it and we walked around the classroom to see all of the stations and cubbies. Very Cute!

Cade is also in the "Penguin" room.

Each morning the parents will read the morning message on the board and the kiddos will answer a question by placing their named penguin under the correct answer. Example: What color are your eyes? Blue Green Brown It's a good way to get an extra cuddle in before we leave the room!!
