Meet the Teacher

Time for Kindergarten! Yes, it is really here! My handsome little man! Such a big boy!

We could not be happier with his teacher! She is EVERYTHING you would imagine and want a kindergarden teacher to be....sugar sweet, so patient and kind, fun and creative....(and of course my expectations are high-haha) but she met every expectation I had for his first teacher in elementary school! Cade is going to have an AWESOME year! I am over the moon excited for him!!

Lily helped Cade read a little note from the teacher.

Checking out the library center

The kids gave each of their teachers a little something at Meet the Teacher.  I will be using this pinterest idea all year long!!!

We are equally impressed with Lily's 2nd grade teacher this year! So very thankful for these wonderful ladies in our children's lives!!!

Lily and I sorted out her supplies.

We had to go visit Lily's first grade teacher !  Hopefully Cade will have her next year!! Keeping out fingers crossed!! :)

Look who we found in the hallway....Brodie and Dylan :)
Gran came up after work so she could be with us at Meet the Teacher. It was a busy, exciting time and apparently nothing like meet the teacher when Brian and I were growing up :)

Back to School Breakfast

What a morning!!! Friday before school started the kiddos were surprised by their friend Sydney at 7 am...bright and early! Sydney woke Lily up first. It took a minute for Lily to understand what was going on and wake up. When she did they went into Cade's room to wake him up! Sydney came over to "kidnap" the kids and take them to a back to school breakfast at the park.  It was really for the neighborhood next to ours but they were sweet enough to include us and it was a fun time! A whole neighborhood of kids being woken up by their friends and taken to the park for breakfast. Loved it!! The rules were simple...No brushing your hair, no brushing your teeth, stay in your pj's and bring something for breakfast!

Last year was the first year and they had about 30 kiddos. This year there were 75 kiddos!!!

Our school's principal found out about the breakfast and came out for a little looksie herself! She loved the idea! This picture ended up in our local paper! Super fun!

Fun times with friends :) Thank you Sydney and family for including us in this tradition !!

Aunt Debbie's 60th Birthday !

We celebrated Aunt Debbie's 60th Birthday at our house this summer! So fun to all get together again like we did last summer! Another summer reunion tradition! I love that we have a house that will hold many guests and a pool to entertain! It has been wonderful to host our friends and family throughout the year!

Shannon decorated the chalkboard...isn't it super cute!!!

Aunt Debbie walked in to a decked out house :)

Timothy had to get the first laugh in ....LOL  Love him to pieces!

Rebecca and Shannon   Would you look at these two beautiful ladies!!!
A little pow wow for lunch :)  I was mortified that they sat on the floor for lunch and Buz joked that he wouldn't have come if he would have known he would have to sit on the floor :)  He was actually the first one to sit there. He said it was a perfect spot :)

WOW....too much sun!!! The kiddos made a lemonade stand and a duct tape station. Little entrepenuers they are!
Caleb decided he wanted to wear Uncle Joe Tim's glasses!

Caleb and Brandon having a serious chat about football!

Dad made it after work to the end of the party! We were all glad he could make it!

We all went to breakfast in Grapevine at Old West Cafe. An hour wait but so worth it!!!

We walked the shops on main street for a couple of hours.

Funny picture for the day - lol

Cade was about DONE with the shopping :) This picture about sums it all up! Ha!

We found an old jail cell. It intrigued the kiddos!

A GREAT weekend spent with our family! We look forward to this every year ... to the kiddos reuniting more often and growing up together like Tiffany, Brandon, Timothy and I did! WONDERFUL MEMORIES!
