Disney World Day 1

SUPRISE!!!!
Chris and I suprised the kids at 5:15 Wednesday morning with a trip to Disney World! We woke them up...had them eat some powdered donuts, get the piece of chocolate out of their advent calendar for that day and then go find Sam - our elf. Sam had a note that said..." Go to Mommy and Daddy's Room. They went running to the door and opened it to find what is pictured in these two pictures!!! They started screaming! Cade threw himself on the floor a couple of times. We told them we were leaving that morning, the bags were already packed, and the clothes they were wearing were already layed out. Lots of screams followed that part as well (ha)

I took this picture and Lily said..."Mommy I had happy tears in my eyes when you were taking our picture!"  Then she started really crying. She was so overcome with excitement! It was soooo sweet! We have no pictures of it and no recording but it will forever be a sweet memory in both Chris and I's minds forever!!!

Disney's Magic Express dropped us off at The Wilderness Lodge where we would be staying for the next 4 nights. It was beautiful! They handed us our passes, had our luggage delivered to our rooms and we headed off to Epcot. Actually we headed to the gift shop at the resort and bought the kids autograph books for all of the characters to sign....then off to EPCOT......

Our first photo op was with Chip and Dale!  Star Struck (haha)

We had 2 1/2 hours to spend at Epcot so we got in a few fun rides at the front of the park before we left because we had dinner reservations. We decided to ride The Seas with Nemo and go to Turtle Talk with Crush. Very very cute, fun and interactive for the kiddos! We also took a little boat ride that showed how Epcot researches and grows plants, fruits and vegetables in a sustainable "green" environment.

                                               CHEF MICKEY at The ContemporaryResort

The kids were ready to go, I think Epcot was not what they expected "Disney" to be, but we were afraid that if we had taken them to Magic Kingdom or Hollywood Studios we wouldn't have been able to pull them away for dinner plans. They had a good time but they were ready to see more and getting hungry so it was a good time to head out....We took the monorail over to The Contemporary and had dinner with Mickey and Friends.  This definately was what they expected to see....So many smiles, laughs, giggles, dancing, autographs.......
Goofy, being goofy.... picked up Cade's autograph book and put it on top of his head to sign.
Cade  thought that was the funniest thing....
Then Goofy picked up Lily's autograph book and put it on Cade's head and signed her book.
They just laughed and laughed!  That Goofy.....he's soooo silly!!!

That's a happy girl right there !!!

Waiting patiently for the characters to come around was soooo hard!

The kids got Chris to talk to Donald in his "Donald" voice.
Donald was quite impressed :)  Good job, Daddy!

Boy, if Lily wasn't in to Minnie before the trip....
Dinner at Chef Mickey put her over the moon for Minnie - Ha!

And the star of dinner finally made his way around!!! Fun times!!!

Before we left the Contemporary we stopped to have carachatures drawn
of the kids. Lily wanted to be Rapunzel and Cade wanted to be Buzz Light Year....
We left the Contemporary by boat and headed back to our resort.
Fun way to end the evening!!!
